Common Trauma Response Terms
This is a non-exhaustive list of terms commonly used by survivors of trauma&abuse to describe various types of trauma responses.Types of Flashbacks:Cognitive Flashback: A type of flashback where a person is brought back to the same mindset or thoughts they had just before, during, or after the trauma.
Cognitive flashbacks may also be words that were either directly stated or implied by an abuser that were then internalized and turned back against the victim internally, such as being told "You can't do anything right" then turning into the victim continuously telling themselves "I can't do anything right" every time they make a mistake or feel bad about themselves.
Cognitive flashbacks most commonly may take the form of negative self-talk or self-blame, such as "I am worthless", "I should have known better than to walk down that street", or "I was to blame for the assault because the clothes I wore were too seductive".Emotional Flashback: A type of flashback where a person is brought back to feeling the same emotions they had just before, during, or after the trauma.
An emotional flashback often may take the form of indescribable panic or deep pain or anger without knowing why.Tactile or Somatic Flashback: A type of flashback where a person is brought back to feeling the same physical sensations they had just before, during, or after the trauma.
This may take the form of feeling as though you are being restrained or touched in a certain part of your body, or it may seem more vague such as headaches or tightness and anxiety in your stomach or chest, or sudden asthma attacks or shutdowns.General Terms:Trauma Reenactment: A broad term for replaying the trauma in some form as if it were still happening. This can be emotional, physical, cognitive, and so on. This also includes flashbacks.
An example is a victim of domestic or familial abuse continuously ending up in future abusive relationships because it reflects past abuse situations they've been in.

Programming (Main Article)
This page is about programming in the context of RAMCOA (Ritual Abuse, Mind Control, Organized Abuse). This page is meant to cover everything surrounding programming that did not fit elsewhere due to the complexity of this method of abuse & control.More on cues, signals, and intentionally placed triggers
In the context of programming, this is a man-made and intentionally created trigger put in place and used in order to easily and automatically bring up desired responses or behaviors set by a programmer.
In TBMC, this in concept is often following the same basic ideas that PTSD works off of (Ex., a trigger which reminds a PTSD patient of trauma will cause a flashback), but is created intentionally and with specified responses in mind when placed, and may follow much more complex steps.
An intentionally placed trigger (or "cue") in a programming subject may cause a physical trauma reenactment or a cognitive flashback, leading to the subject being brought back to the same mindset or thoughts they had during the initial programming and replaying that trauma physically through actions. For example, a subject may be told "If you ever even think about telling a social worker or the cops about what happens in this household, bite your tongue until it bleeds and think about what I will do to you if you tell, because I promise if I find out you snitched I will stab you to death with this knife and bury your body somewhere nobody will ever find or think to look".
Often, this process is repeated several times over a long period of time to really deeply ingrain it in the subject's mind, and may also involve physical or sexual abuse to really cement the idea. (For example, beating the subject while giving them the above instructions to not tell anyone and telling them this is them "getting off easy this time, but if it happens again you're dead")
Following the above example, after this is repeated and reinforced enough times, the goal is that the subject will be triggered to bite their tongue and think about what harm will come to them if they tell each time they think of telling. To break it down further:
"If you ever even think about telling a social worker or the cops about what happens in this household" in this example, this is the "cue" or "signal" installed. Each time this situation happens, the subject is meant to follow the intended programmed behavior outlined afterwards, below."...bite your tongue until it bleeds and think about what I will do to you if you tell" in this example, this is the behavior attempting to be programmed. Once the trigger or "cue" outlined previously happens, this behavior is meant to follow."...I promise if I find out you snitched I will stab you to death with this knife and bury your body somewhere nobody will ever find or think to look" in this example, this is the trauma-based reinforcement used to solidify the programming. It places the subject into a "survival state" or "fear state", where they are forced to listen to the programmer if they are to avoid further harm.
Often, the body is remembering this reinforcement and fear once a program is triggered to run, even if the mind does not consciously remember it or feel emotional when running a program.
Specific Types of Programming
This is a list of known programs survivors may have implanted in the context of RAMCOA (Ritual Abuse, Mind Control, Organized Abuse).
The words for these programs may change or be used differently depending on the specific group, programmer, or survivor involved.Base Programs
These programs often must be implemented as a foundation before more complex programming can take place. Depending on what they were being programmed for, a survivor may have only one or two of these, or they may have most or all of them.
The only base program that all programming survivors share is "Alpha".
These programs are often referred to by greek letters, though different programmers may use different language for them, if they name them at all.Alpha: The base for all programming. The goal of this type of programming is to create a "blank slate" state of mind in which programmers can then carve out desired behaviors, personality traits, mindsets, and absolute obedience.
This does not always mean the subject has no personality - The goal is to create an easily accessible altered state of mind made to obey commands.Beta: Sexual programming. This type of programming is often done to create (sometimes multiple) different "modes" (or sometimes "alters") in a subject for sexual use, such as specific sexual responses and behaviors, conforming to rigid gender stereotypes, porn stereotypes, or BDSM.Chi/Callback/Return Program: This program triggers an intense urge or desire to contact or return back to the programmers or group which trained the subject.Delta: Violence programming. Often done to force subjects to harm, attack, or kill others. Associated the most with military groups, but can be implanted in contexts besides military.Epsilon: Dehumanization programming, usually relating to animals. The subject is made to feel non-human and take on the characteristics or behavioral traits of an animal.
This type of programming may be combined with other types of programming, such as attack dogs (Delta) or sex kittens (Beta).Eta: No-escape/Learned helplessness programming. Enforces the idea that the abuse will never end, that the abuser or group will live on forever, that the programming/mind control can never be broken, that there is no way to stop it, and so on.Gamma: Loyalty programming. Involves implanting extreme compliance and/or belief in the abuser/group's love for them, their correctness, their ideologies, and/or the rules they were taught. This often includes keeping the abuser/group's secrets hidden, defending the abuser/group to an extreme degree, or used as a base for certain types of suicide programming.Iota: Isolation programming. Some examples of how this programming can be used include triggering self-isolation in order to ensure the subject does not make outside connections, stops any healing attempts, is placed in a more vulnerable state so that other kinds of programming triggered are more effective, or make the subject easier to capture for reprogramming.
The subject may be trained to believe that they do not deserve to be around others, or that they are completely independent and do not need anyone else.Omega: Self-destruct programming. This includes suicide programming and self-harm programming. This program gives the subject intense urges to commit suicide or injure themselves when triggered, often used as a method of silencing or punishment for breaking rules, or to discard "unsuccessful" programming subjects.Sigma: Survival/Outdoor/Wilderness programming. Often involves military, Delta, Epsilon, or Iota programming. This is a broad term for any training which takes place outside, often including physical tasks, survival, fights, obstacle courses, starvation, thirst, lack of shelter or clothes, climbing, or other intense activity.Theta: Religious programming. May involve implanted religious beliefs, beliefs that God or another religious figure is actually within the subject's body, that a religious being is in control of the subject's actions or always watching them, beliefs the subject is actually a demon or a reborn religious figure, compulsive prayer or rituals, or feeling or hearing demons (or other figure) inside the subject's body or environment when triggered.Zeta: Normalization programming. The subject is made to view violent, immoral, or illegal acts (Such as torture, death, killing, or rape) as normal parts of life.
More Specific Types of Programs
Amnesia Program: The subject will forget what they were thinking about, saying, or doing, or they will forget something specific when triggered (Such as the names of the abusers/group, location, or forget the abuse altogether).
Sometimes also just called "Amnesiac".Angel of Death/Angel of the Sunset (Blue Angel) Program: The subject is offered drugs by an angel to achieve peace. The subject may see angel imagery in their head when this program is triggered and experience an urge to take drugs. This program is done to trigger drug overdoses for suicides.Bells of Death Program: The subject is triggered to respond with Delta (Violence) or Omega (Self-Destruct/Suicide) programming after hearing a specific type, number, or pattern of bells, chimes, or beeps.
This is often used the most by religious groups to signal the time for death, "The End Times", "The Rapture", an apocalypse or invasion, or "Call of the Horsemen".
This type of programming may also be used to trigger long-distance suicide programming, such as the number of rings on a telephone.Binge-Eating Program: The subject will overeat, even far past the point where they are full or it hurts to continue eating. May be used to reinforce Gamma (Loyalty) programming by instilling gratefulness for what the subject is given (Food) or to hide pregnancies.Body Illness Program: The subject's body will become very sick, nauseous, feel pain, or other physical symptoms such as headaches, stomachaches, vomiting, fatigue, seizures, asthma, or paralysis.Body Odor/Scent/Pheromone Program: The subject believes they have a scent which will give information to others, such as abusers being able to track them down by their scent or others being able to know what the subject's role or rank is (if in an abusive group such as a cult) by the subject's scent.
May also be combined with other programming, such as the subject being told they cannot defecate outside of designated areas or when told to (As a part of constipation or incontinence programming) because people will be able to know by their stool's smell that they are evil, or that they will release an airborne disease that will get others very sick.Boundary-Break Program: Programming to ensure the subject has no sense of personal boundaries. May be done through either consistent or inconsistent disrespect of boundaries, or with visuals such as telling the subject they have a "personal space bubble" which is then "popped", or that they have a "personal space line" which is then crossed or erased.Choke/Constrictor/Strangulation Program: The subject suddenly feels unable to breathe, and may feel that their throat is tightening up or feel pain in the mouth, throat, nose, or lungs. The subject may become very lightheaded or even pass out. In some cases, if not triggered "off", this program may kill a subject when triggered.
Subjects may also be told they have asthma or another health condition, when in reality it is a program. "Medication" (Which, in reality, is sedative drugs) may even be provided to the subject as the "off" trigger for this program, and the subject is tricked into believing the medication is solving a genuine medical condition.Clay/Doll/Puppet/Toy Program: Programming where the subject is told that their body is a doll, puppet, toy, or made of clay. Often combined with the subject being told that they are malleable or able to be sculpted or positioned in any way, or that they are attached to invisible strings, or generally that their body and mind is not their own. This is a type of dehumanization program.Cleansing/Washing/Baptism Program: The subject will have a strong urge or desire to become "clean". This may include feeling that they are filthy, dirty, polluted, defiled, diseased, need to atone, are unholy, are no longer pure, and may additionally be accompanied by beliefs that they need to shower, bathe, be baptized, scrub their skin clean (or off), that someone else needs to clean or purify them, wash away their sins, confess, make them "whole again" or be forgiven or released from sin.Confusion Program: The subject will become very confused spatially and/or mentally, and may not be able to tell between what is real and what is not, or who they can believe.Constipation/Retention Program: The subject will not urinate or defecate, even for days at a time or longer. Often used when a subject needs to be transported a long distance or to teach "self-control", the subject is trained to "hold it" for extended periods of time.Crazy Land Program: The subject is brought mentally to "Crazy Land", which brings the subject to a false reality or makes them disbelieve their own reality. This may be accompanied by loud or high-pitched sounds, voices, hallucinations, delusions, or a fear or feeling of "losing it", "going insane", or similar.Dead-Head Program: The subject becomes completely unable to think, feeling that their head is full of lead or concrete, or suddenly has become very heavy or thick.Denial Program: The subject will deny the abuse, their symptoms, trauma, or even that they were/are involved with any kind of abuse or organized group. Often used to make the subject disbelieve themselves, make others believe they are unreliable or a liar, or to keep the subject silent or unaware of the abuse or programming.Discard Programming: A broad term for any kind of programming done when a subject is declared "failed" by programmers. Often, this type of programming involves several different programs installed to hide abuse memories, discredit the subject, make the subject as dysfunctional as possible, and, in some cases, kill themselves.
Once these programs are installed, the subject may then be set loose into society. Programmers and other abusers may or may not remain in contact or keep an eye on the subject after to ensure the programming remains effective over time so as to not disclose the abuse to anyone.Drowning Program: The subject suddenly feels as though they are immersed in water, drowning, or that they cannot breathe.Drugged Program: The subject feels as though they have been drugged, are high, no longer feel pain, or become sedated as if they have been drugged. May also be used to develop a "Truth Serum" program, as if the subject has been given a truth serum drug.Emetic/Vomit/Purge Program: The subject will vomit, or will have a very strong urge or desire to vomit.Enemy Program: The subject believes that everyone is an enemy and that they cannot trust anyone.Era/Epoch Program: The subject is lead to believe that they live in a different time period, either from history (Such as the Victorian era, or during World War II, or a time period that is much farther in the future than it really is) or from the subject's own life (Such as being told they are much younger or much older than their body really is, or that they never grew past childhood, or that they are an adult in a child's body).Fear Family Program: The subject remembers abuse at the hand of family members, or becomes very afraid of family.Fear/Phobia Programming: Broad term for any programming which makes the subject fear others, themselves, concepts, triggers, situations, objects, imagery, sound, or other stimuli.Flood Program: The subject suddenly becomes overwhelmed by memories, emotions, or pain.Garbled Program: Voices sound garbled, underwater, backwards, or difficult to comprehend to the subject when triggered.
Often used to make it impossible for outsiders to interrogate the subject, or to ensure the subject will not understand what is being said if they are not meant to know.Hellfire/Fire/Burning Program: The subject suddenly feels that their entire body is burning, hot to the touch, melting, or that their brain or insides are on fire.Incontinence Program: The subject loses control of their bladder or bowels when triggered, leading to involuntary urination and/or defecation.Insomnia Program: The subject will not sleep for an extended period of time. Can last from anywhere between a few hours to several days or more.
Sometimes also just called "Insomniac".Kaleidoscope Program: The subject becomes extremely confused and disoriented, accompanied by visions of bright lights or sensations of spinning or nausea.Last Dawn/End of World/Rapture Program: The subject believes the end of the world is upon them.Locked/Closed Room Program: The subject will have a very strong urge or desire to lock themselves in a room, often as a part of Iota programming.Mech/Immortality Program: The subject is lead to believe that they do not need sleep, food, water, or any other kind of care. The subject may be kept awake and drugged for long periods of time to reinforce this, or told that they will not fall asleep or starve even if they feel that they will. Even if the subject falls unconscious, they will be told they were conscious the entire time.Military Programming: A broad term for any type of programming done either by the military or by similar groups (or those who pose as them), such as groups which use similar tactics, ranking systems, medals, and/or uniforms as the military, or cults which train their own army.Monarch: A broad term for Government programming, originally a reference to the CIA's mind control project "Project Monarch".Narco/Sleep Program: The subject becomes very lethargic, groggy, fatigued, and unable to focus, often resulting in the subject falling asleep.Painkiller Program: The subject will not feel, or will have a greatly reduced ability to feel or recognize, pain.Pregnancy/Get-Pregnant Program: The subject feels an intense urge or desire to get pregnant or to be "bred".Rain/When it Rains Program: The subject is trained to react in specific ways when it rains. Common programmed responses to rain involve fear, uncertainty, sedation, callback (Reporting), or religious programming.
Fear and uncertainty are commonly manipulated for use as triggers for Iota or Chi (Callback/Reporting) programs. Rain itself may also be used to signal certain cult rituals that the subject must perform or return to the cult for.Regression Program: The subject regresses in age (age regression), often acting much younger or having significantly more "child-like" cognitive functioning or abilities than usual when triggered.Report/Contact Program: A type of callback program where the subject will contact the programmers when triggered, potentially including updating them about rule-breaking or their current location.Robot Program: The subject will "Don't think; Just do".Routine Program: Often used alongside scripts, this is a broad term for when a subject feels an intense urge to follow a specific routine, either as a daily routine or under specific circumstances such as for rituals or holidays. The subject will perform a series of predetermined actions as dictated by the time (Either hourly, daily, or following weekly, monthly, yearly, or holiday dates), initially done with external schedules which are then internalized into internal schedules.Scatter Program: The subject's thoughts suddenly "scatter", leaving them confused and unable to remember what they were thinking about, and sometimes unable to comprehend or form new thoughts.Scramble Program: It becomes very difficult or impossible for the subject to comprehend or form words or sentences cohesively, making it very difficult or impossible for others to understand them.Sedation Program: The subject suddenly becomes very calm or numb, sometimes to the point that they become barely conscious.Self-Harm Program: The subject will injure themselves when triggered.Sexual Dysfunction Programming: A broad term for any programming which causes sexual dysfunction. This may include an inability or decreased ability to feel pleasure, a low or lack of a sex drive (Libido), hypersexuality, an inability to orgasm, muscle spasms or tension, being very sensitive sexually, having pain when aroused or during sexual activities, pain following orgasm, or having very early or quick (or very delayed or long) orgasms.Shield Program: The subject shuts down emotionally and becomes completely detached. This will put a psychological "wall" or "shield" between the subject and others who attempt to get close to or hurt the subject, or make it easier for programs such as Delta or Omega to run.Silence/Shutdown/Nonverbal Program: The subject becomes completely unable to speak, or may become completely unable to respond to any kind of external stimuli and becomes immobile.Smoke Bomb/Mist Program: The subject's mind goes foggy, and they become unable to see the truth of the situation or their memories.Soldier Program: The subject believes they are a soldier, often tied to extreme obedience, loyalty, survival skills, fighting, and/or Delta or Omega programs.Spill/Speak/Truth Serum/Hyperverbal Program: The subject says everything they are thinking, feeling, or have done, without thinking or holding back. Often used to ensure victims cannot hide things or lie to the abusers/group when triggered.Spin Program: The subject feels as though they are spinning, or becomes very nauseous. May be used to confuse the subject about their location or surroundings.Starvation/Food Restriction/Fasting Program: The subject will not eat or drink for an extended period of time. This can include only not eating, only not drinking, only eating specific foods/food groups or drinks (Dietary restrictions), or not eating or drinking at all. May be used as a punishment or to hide pregnancies, or as part of a programmed ritual response.Stimulant Program: The subject becomes hyperfocused and hyperawake, as if given a stimulant drug. The subject may be unable to sleep (Insomnia), may become very restless or energized, or become far less able to feel or recognize body signals such as hunger, pain, or thirst.Suicide/Self-Destruct Program: Another term for Omega programming.
